Job description

HR Generalist

HR Generalist

Location:

Amsterdam - Netherlands

Type:

Fulltime

At Intelic, we build advanced software for unmanned systems in the defense sector. Based in Amsterdam — with a second office in Kyiv — we are a fast-growing team of engineers and domain experts developing Nexus — an intelligence platform that gives unmanned systems the speed, coordination, and reliability that critical missions demand.

Why this role exists

The People foundation at Intelic is in place — now it's time to build on it. As our HR Generalist, you're the architect behind a seamless internal experience: you design and own the systems, build automated and streamlined processes and flows where possible. You’ll work closely with our People Lead to develop managers, run performance, and bring our culture to life.

What success looks like in your first year

• Built a clean, reliable HR admin foundation — contracts, processes, and our internal knowledge base all in order and easy to navigate

• Identified and implemented at least one meaningful automation or workflow improvement (e.g. employer statements, recurring sickness-case processes) that saves the team real time

• Ran your first onboarding sessions and made new joiners feel genuinely welcomed from day one

• Started contributing to broader HR initiatives — manager development, performance cycle design, and culture work — alongside the People Lead

What you will own

• Own the HR lifecycle day-to-day: drafting contracts and addendums, managing HR tickets, and keeping our internal HRIS (buddee) accurate and up to date

• Act as our internal expert on HR tools and systems, proactively experimenting with AI and automation to streamline recurring processes — especially in the early phase of this role

• Host monthly onboarding sessions for new joiners, making sure everyone feels welcomed and set up for success from day one

• Be one of the faces of HR in the Amsterdam office — the go-to person for employees with questions on policy, benefits, and local regulations

• Support the Ukrainian team with HR queries, making sure they receive the same quality of guidance and feel just as connected to Intelic's processes and culture

• Run payroll checks together with finance

What you will contribute to (alongside the People Lead)

• Manager development — helping build guidance and support for how managers handle sickness cases, performance conversations, and day-to-day people management

• A light touch of L&D, supporting manager and employee development needs as they arise

• The company's first performance cycle, built in-house — you won't own this end-to-end, but you'll work closely with the People Lead to help shape and improve it

• HR policies — reviewing and refining these as the company matures

• Culture initiatives — helping bring Intelic's core values to life in day-to-day ways

You will thrive here if

• You're a true self-starter — you spot what needs improving before being asked, and you don't wait for permission to fix it

• You have experience in People Ops/HR Generalist work, preferably in a fast-growing or international organisation

• You are genuinely excited about HR tech and AI, and you actively experiment with tools rather than just staying aware of them — this matters especially in the early, operations-heavy phase of this role

• You have hands-on experience with HRIS tooling and enjoy finding ways to improve how things work

• You are energetic, empathetic, and proactive — you like being visible and accessible in an office environment

• You have a sharp eye for detail and feel at home in the operational, compliance-heavy side of HR

• You're comfortable growing into broader, less-defined people projects as the role evolves — this isn't a static admin role long-term

Why join Intelic

• Real ownership. You're not just executing tasks — you're helping shape how our People function works

• Meaningful mission. Your work directly supports the people building technology that protects lives

• A small, mission-driven team spread across Amsterdam and Kyiv

What we offer

• Stock Appreciation Rights programme (equity)

• A vibrant office at NDSM Plein, Amsterdam Noord — where we come together in person every day, because we believe it matters for the kind of work we do

• Flexible pension plan

• 25 vacation days

• Travel allowance

• Urban Sports corporate membership

• Lease a Bike option

Please note that, as part of our recruitment process, we may request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background screening in accordance with our screening policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this process.
