Job description
Senior Technical Product Manager
Location:
Amsterdam - Netherlands
Type:
Fulltime
In a world where geopolitical tensions and security threats are accelerating, the way nations protect people and preserve peace is being redefined. For a long time, innovating in defense was about making tougher hardware. But with the evolution of software and the recent AI disruption, the future of defense is shifting to software-powered unmanned systems that save lives by removing humans from the front line. This is our mission.
At Intelic, we’re building the intelligence layer for unmanned systems in defense. As a software-first company, we enable autonomous platforms to operate together - faster, smarter, and more reliably - across complex, mission-critical environments. Our technology turns disconnected assets into coordinated forces, helping operators make accurate decisions when it matters most.
Based in Amsterdam and growing fast, Intelic offers a rare opportunity to work on products that don’t just move metrics - they meaningfully impact safety, resilience, and the future of Europe’s security.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Product Manager for Product Adoption, you will own how our mission autonomy software is deployed, updated, and improved in real-world operational environments. Your scope focuses on enabling reliable local installation, resilient software updates, and compliant product usage data collection that you can derive analytics from - even when connectivity is limited, unstable, or entirely absent.
You will lead product discovery and delivery for software that runs off-cloud, operates over wireless and radio links, and is used by non-technical operators in high-pressure, mission-critical contexts. Success means operators can trust the system to easily install, update, and recover gracefully - and Intelic can continuously learn from the field through secure, anonymized data.
In practice, this means:
• Define and Own product outcomes for deployment, packaging, updates, and data feedback loops in constrained and disconnected environments.
• Partner with engineering and design to deliver resilient, user-friendly solutions for non-technical operators, prioritizing clarity, reliability, and graceful failure.
• Deep dive into solutions for connection-challenged environments, including low bandwidth, intermittent links, and wireless or radio-based networking.
• Define and evolve compliant, legal & anonymized product analytics that operate over unstable connections and provide meaningful insight into real-world usage.
• Apply strong technical judgment across deployment architectures, DevOps concepts, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, wireless, radio) to guide trade-offs and decisions.
• Engage directly with operators and stakeholders to ground decisions in evidence through continuous discovery, experimentation, and data.
• Ensure decisions are guided by evidence, using hypothesis-driven discovery, operational data, and field feedback rather than assumptions or opinions.
What You Will Bring
You are a Technical Product Manager who cares deeply about outcomes, not outputs. You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, translating real-world operational constraints into clear product direction, and making sound trade-offs between usability, reliability, and technical complexity. You move easily between the field and the whiteboard - grounding strategy in reality and execution in clear roadmaps.
This includes:
• Significant experience in product management, ideally in complex, mission-critical, or infrastructure-heavy domains where reliability and constraints matter.
• A proven ability to lead product discovery in highly technical contexts, working closely with engineers to shape solutions rather than handing off requirements.
• Strong technical fluency in software deployment and packaging, with a working understanding of DevOps concepts, distributed systems, and networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, wireless, radio-based communication).
• Experience designing or owning products that operate off-cloud or with limited or
unreliable connectivity, and require resilience, graceful degradation, and local execution
• Experience defining meaningful product metrics and analytics, including an understanding of data collection challenges, anonymization, and compliance in regulated environments.
• The ability to define clear problem statements, outcomes, and success metrics, and to keep teams aligned and focused on delivering real impact.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the credibility to explain technical trade-offs, defend priorities, and build shared understanding across functions.
• A desire to talk directly with operators in the field(interviewing) to understand their context and validate that the product works where it matters most.
Our Tech Stack
Our role models are people like Marty Cagan and Teresa Torres. We believe strongly in their teachings and apply them on a day to day basis throughout:
• Discovery: Continuous interviews, product analytics, prototype testing, data analysis
• Collaboration: GitHub, Linear, Slack, FigJam, Notion
• Delivery: Agile, Empowered product team practices
• Validation: OKRs, feedback loops, real-world testing with operators
What Success Looks Like in Your First Year
• You have established a continuous discovery cadence with your product team, ensuring product decisions are rooted in real operator needs.
• You have delivered key product outcomes that directly improve mission effectiveness and adoption in the field.
• You’ve aligned stakeholders around a clear product strategy and roadmap, connecting company vision with user impact.
• You have demonstrated measurable impact through validated outcomes, not just shipped features.
