On 28 October, the Dutch Government reaffirmed its commitment to Ukraine with a €500 million military support package focused on air defence and drones. Prime Minister Rob Jetten announced the package following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Catshuis in The Hague.

Intelic CTO Marc Derksen was honoured to attend the official gathering, which included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Tom Berendsen.

The announcement reinforces a clear message: Ukraine must have the means to defend its people, protect critical infrastructure and respond to an evolving battlefield. Dutch technologies and aerial defence capabilities will be harnessed to support the defence efforts of the Ukrainian people.

“Intelic’s support of Ukraine has never been just a statement of solidarity. It is a commitment we put into practice every day. We are honoured to be in the room when that commitment is reaffirmed at the highest level, and equally committed to standing alongside the soldiers who defend their country on the frontline.”

Frontline experience in Ukraine informs NEXUS development

As the number and variety of unmanned systems grow - not least because of their effectiveness on the battlefield in Ukraine - so does the challenge of coordinating them and distinguishing friendly systems from hostile ones.

With so many different platforms operating through separate control stations, interfaces and information systems, fragmentation is a liability, making it harder for forces to maintain a shared operational picture, coordinate assets and act on information quickly.

NEXUS, Intelic’s platform-agnostic Command-and-Control software for unmanned systems, is designed to address this challenge. It connects multi-vendor unmanned fleets through a single mission interface, helping operators and commanders coordinate systems, share information and act within the wider operational environment, regardless of the vendor or mission type.

Our approach is shaped by operational experience in Ukraine. Since 2025, NEXUS has been used operationally on the Ukrainian frontline, with feedback from the brigades using the platform informing its continued development.

For Intelic, the significance of the day extends beyond the announcement itself. We will continue to contribute where we can make a difference: developing NEXUS around the needs of the people using it, strengthening interoperability across unmanned systems and working alongside partners who share the responsibility of supporting Ukraine.
